Carter Jonas has relocated its Birmingham team to a new office at 81 Colmore Row and is expanding its footprint in Nottingham at Cubo, Standard Court, later this year, highlighting the firm’s commitment to Birmingham and its strategic growth across the Midlands.
The 100-plus multi-disciplinary team has moved from its previous location at Two Snowhill to the first floor of the Grade II-listed 81 Colmore Row, situated in the heart of Birmingham’s vibrant business district. These moves align with Carter Jonas’ recently launched five-year business strategy, Vision 2030, which emphasises continuous growth, evolution, and adaptability. The newly refurbished Birmingham space, owned by Kinrise, has been thoughtfully designed to foster collaboration, creativity and teamwork. Additional features include a client lounge, meeting rooms, event spaces and a roof terrace. The office promotes agile working practices and enhances connectivity among the team and clients. The relocation also strengthens Carter Jonas’ connections with Birmingham’s core business community, positioning the firm to drive sustainable growth and support impactful client projects throughout the city and wider region.
Carter Jonas’ first Birmingham office opened in 2016 with a handful of people. Over the past nine years, it has become one of the firm’s most established and sustainable hubs, offering a wide variety of services spanning land assembly and infrastructure consultancy, land referencing and mapping, asset management, commercial agency, building consultancy, valuation, planning, development and specialist support in forestry. This success led to the opening of a second site in Nottingham in 2022 and the firm’s expansion at Cubo in November will support the ongoing growth of its Infrastructure and Energy business.
Richard Bruce, Chief Executive of Carter Jonas, said: “Our relocation marks an exciting new chapter for our business and our Birmingham team. A great deal has changed since we first opened in the city in 2016. Not only have we grown significantly and added numerous service lines, but there has been a shift in our ways of working and what our teams require from our locations and spaces.
“Our new spaces meet the need for collaboration and engaging interaction, while offering greater agile work opportunities. Both will provide modern, flexible environments that support our people and clients as we pursue our Vision 2030 goals.”
