Carter Jonas has sold three residential development phases totalling up to circa 700 dwellings at Brockworth in Gloucestershire, part of the 1,500-home Perrybook urban extension. This follows previous land sales at Perrybrook to Linden, Bellway and Taylor Wimpey.

Following a competitive tender process, Phase 7 (272 homes) was sold to Platform Housing Group and Phases 4 and 6 (which will jointly accommodate up to 425 homes) was sold to Crest Nicholson.

Perrybrook will create up to 1,500 new homes in this popular location, positioned just three miles from Gloucester and five miles from Cheltenham. Other uses on the overall scheme include no less than 59.3 acres of formal and informal public open space (to include a sports hub and the existing rugby club and allotments), a doctors’ surgery, a community hub and a primary school. The development, which will be well connected with footpaths and cycleways, will also include an area of employment land close to junction 11a of the M5 motorway
Both Crest Nicholson and Platform Housing Group aim to commence construction during 2022.

Steve Morris, Partner in Carter Jonas’ Bristol office, commented: “A significant  milestone has been reached in the progress of this important scheme, which will bring much-needed homes, as well as employment opportunities, to this popular area.”
