The UK’s biggest retailer of charity Christmas cards, Cards for Good Causes, has appointed Carter Jonas’s commercial team in its seasonal search for pop-up shops across Britain.

Cards for Good Causes supports more than 250 national and local charities by selling a wide choice of Christmas cards and seasonal gifts through their Online Shop (www.cardsforcharity.org.uk) and its national network of over 300 pop-up shops. The charities it supports include Cancer Research UK, Barnardo’s, Alzheimer’s Society and RNLI, with at least 25 charities represented at each location.

Carter Jonas is engaged in supporting the retailer's drive to find the best A1 use sites of between 750 – 1,500 sq ft in high streets, shopping centres and transport hubs to meet these objectives. Target locations are high footfall areas across the UK including in Cambridge, Cardiff, Exeter and Greater London.

Samuel Turner, Associate, Commercial, Carter Jonas said: "Seasonal, temporary operators such as Cards for Good Causes provide an attractive alternative to landlords, particularly in the current climate. The past six months have been extremely challenging on some landlords with a number of significant retailers stepping away from the high street. Units occupied by Cards for Good Causes are well fitted, thoughtfully managed to a high standard and boost footfall in the lead up to Christmas, often helping to strengthen links with the local community.

Jeremy Lune, CEO, Cards for Good Causes, said: “We are delighted that Carter Jonas is going to help us secure premises in some of the key locations for us across the UK. We have traded in some of these areas previously for some years and have a strong and loyal customer base. This year, more than any other, we want to make sure we can reach these customers and generate much-needed funds for hundreds of national and local charities, all of whom have faced such challenging times this year and vitally need our support.

Cards for Good Causes (CFGC) is the UK’s largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation with the most shops in the country. Its aims are simple – offer the widest choice of charity cards and keep raising as much money as possible each year for our charities. CFGC sells cards on behalf of over 250 national and local charities through their Online Shop and through a national network of over 300 charity Christmas card shops, throughout the country, from Truro to Pitlochry and relies on the help of some 6,000 volunteers.
